No. 3 Large Company: MediRevv

Earlier this month, the management team at MediRevv in Coralville showed its appreciation to the staff of 175 employees by not only serving them lunch, but preparing it as well.

The second-annual Taste of MediRevv featured such homemade delicacies as beef sliders, roast pork tenderloin and chicken salad.

“Because of stuff like that,” Brad Baldwin, vice president of operations, said of why MediRevv is a cool place to work.

“Our business is hard work and it’s not fun,” he said. “We have to make this more than just a place to come to work. We create balance with culture and environment. Our culture is the differentiator.”

MediRevv is a health care revenue cycle management company that specializes in helping hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers and physician groups improve their cash flow and grow their revenue. The company’s primary focus is seeing to it that hospitals get paid for their services, not so much through the patients, but through the insurance companies.

The company also handles patient surveys after they are released from care, so they can better serve them in the future. And recently, the company has begun a consultation service and even helping doctors with their coding.

As well as helping patients understand their medical bills, MediRevv employees are also committed to helping the community.

“All of the leadership at MediRevv is truly excited about the company and our community. They truly care about making us happy and what we have to say and want us to be active in our community,” an employee stated in a nomination.

Fun activities such as family at a Cedar Rapids Kernels game, summer picnics and pumpkin carving at Halloween are also regularly scheduled.

“MediRevv is always thinking of new ‘perks’ to continue to make this a cool and fun place to work. We have potlucks, grill-out days, food/baking competitions. We celebrate when we hit our goals. We have “Minute-To-Win-It” games which get us away from our desk for a minute to have fun and laugh,” and employee stated in a nomination.
