Making its third appearance on the Fastest Growing Companies list is Cedar Rapids-based Involta.
Bruce Lehrman, the company’s CEO, was named the Corridor Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and is a finalist this year for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He attributed the data center provider’s continued growth to several factors.
“We have been able to attract and retain top talent in the markets we serve,” he stated in an email. “These people are focused on continuous improvement and making our customers successful. That reputation has been critical to our growth.”
Industry changes have also added to its success.
“We are in a good macro trend where companies are choosing to outsource some or all of their IT infrastructure,” he stated. “They are choosing to focus their time and money on the parts of their business that differentiate themselves in the market.”
He added that community support of the company’s growth has helped, as well. Involta was named IT Service Provider of the Year in April at the Technology Association of Iowa’s annual Prometheus Awards.
