Dwell Home Furnishings again takes the title for Best Home Furnishings Store, and with the rate its Coralville store is growing, there’s little wonder why. The store in April opened a new 5,500-square-foot expansion to its lower level, dubbed the “Modern Gallery,” and a new interior design studio in early June. President Cheri Hochstetler and her team are now working on doubling the number of products within that showroom as well as expanding the store’s staff. “The new space allows us to show a more modern side of what Dwell can do,” President Cheri Hochstetler told the CBJ earlier this year, noting that the store had previously offered a more eclectic mix of traditional, transitional and one-of-a-kind antique styles. The retailer also offers complementary in-home consultations and in-store presentations with space planning. After white-glove delivery and setup, they also take old furniture out for donation or disposal.
