Big Grove Brewery, 101 Main St., Solon, opened Aug. 29. The brewery and restaurant was started by the owners of Red’s Alehouse in North Liberty and Blackstone restaurant in Iowa City.

Teddy’s Bigger Burgers opens Aug. 18 at 328 E. Washington St. in Iowa City. The fast casual restaurant based in Hawaii is the first of several planned to open in Iowa.

Abbe Center to close Sept. 30

Starting Oct. 1, about 75 adults with mental illness who received transitional and residential services from the Abbe Center for Community Care, Inc. will be forced to receive their mental health services elsewhere.
