The newest honoree in the competitive Best Jewelry Store category, Cedar Rapids-based Siebke Hoyt Jewelers has won over generations of customers with its knowledgeable staff and top-notch service. The average tenure at the shop is eight years, according to the company’s website, while its two master jewelers can create beautiful custom pieces. Staff members regularly receive ongoing training about diamonds and gems, as well as new jewelry trends and styles.
Siebke Hoyt is truly a family affair. The current president of Siebke Hoyt is Joseph “Jay” Hoyt, who joined the company during the Christ-mas season of 1974. His younger brother, Thomas Hoyt, joined in 1986, and serves as vice president. In 2011, Joseph’s son, Joseph Thomas Hoyt, joined the company, and now assists in all of the store’s operations.
