Diamond V celebrates 70 years, new global headquarters

Diamond V, a health and nutrition company based in Cedar Rapids, celebrated its 70th anniversary and the opening of a new global headquarters on Aug. 23, 2012.

Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett spoke about flood recovery and Diamond V’s choice to stay in town after being flooded.

People in attendance included representatives from China, current and former Diamond V employees, as well as local government and business leaders.

A joke about budget shortfalls prompted a laugh from Diamond V CEO John Bloomhall.

A large crowd gathered at Diamond V’s new global headquarters, in Southwest Cedar Rapids, to celebrate the company’s 70th anniversary.

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad was one of the notable civic leaders in attendance.
