Best advice you ever received?
Think before you speak.
What do you consider your biggest break so far?
Being offered a job at RSH Legal. I worked here as a kid. I looked up to my (now) law partners back then and to be able to work side by side with them now is a privilege.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
Despite my height, I was horrible at every sport! I’m also a bit of an introvert.
What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why?
Convincing young Iowans to stay in Iowa and to choose the Corridor as a place to live and work.
If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support?
I would set up an endowment to provide paid family leave for parents who work for employers that do not offer it.
What are your passions outside of the workplace?
My family, my friends, exercise and mock trial.
What should people know about your generation in the workplace?
We work smart. We have found new ways to work hard, yet efficiently.
What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?
I hope to continue being happy in my work and my marriage, to have raised (or almost raised) kind and self-sufficient kids, to have traveled to many different places, and to have maintained solid friendships.
