What’s the best advice you ever received?
Strong people stand up for themselves, but stronger people stand up for others. 2. Don’t let fear dictate your future. If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try.

What do you consider your greatest professional achievement(s)?
I was the first female to be promoted to wealth advisor within RSM Wealth Management.

What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a planner by day, but personally I love adventures and spontaneity, whether it’s jumping off cliffs into a lake or traveling internationally alone without an agenda or reservations.

What do you know now that you wish you had known earlier in your career?
That having a network of people you respect and trust is the best resource you can have. Devote time to building it.

How do you ensure a balance between work and your personal life?
It’s hard, but sometimes you just have to say no and schedule some personal time. It’s also very important that you make your work an environment where fun and work aren’t mutually exclusive.

If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support?
I would use most of it to help those in need to break through societal barriers by helping them with education and personal empowerment.

What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?
Continue to have success in my career, build new relationships, walk the Camino de Santiago, cross a couple more continents off my travel list and continue being thankful for my many blessings in life.
