Being born to two people who are madly in love with each other.

What would most people be surprised to learn about you?

We have a group of neighborhood kids who come to my house on Sunday mornings for extra school. We call it enrichment and crack codes, do science experiments and get messy.

What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why?

Children’s mental health. It’s a real crisis and our community needs to find help for kids who are suffering.

If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support?

Education and nature conservancy, the Iowa City Public Library and Kids First Law Center.

Those in my generation who have gone on to become mothers are efficiency masters.

What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?

When I’m 50 I’ll have two kids in college and one in high school. I hope they’re all brushing their teeth of their own volition.
