Best advice you ever received?

“Ship your art.” – Seth Godin. Translation: Put your creative work out into the world. Improve upon it. Grow from it. Repeat.

What do you consider your biggest break so far?

I was fired from a job that I enjoyed and was, by most measures, succeeding in. What felt like a huge loss in the moment turned out to be a tremendous blessing in disguise. This life event pushed me to challenge myself in new ways. I learned that sometimes, in order to fly, you have to be pushed off the cliff.

What would most people be surprised to learn about you?

On me at all times: Three iPhones, a Sony a7R II camera, two lenses, chopsticks and a Macbook Pro.

What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why?

Diversity in leadership positions at businesses and in public office.

What are your passions outside of the workplace?

Woodworking, photography/camera technology and family bike rides.

What should people know about your generation in the workplace?

We are the generation of the side hustle. Having one “job” isn’t enough for many people. I would like to see more employers embrace that rather than push against what might be considered outside “distractions.”

What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?

Be the best husband, father and professional I can be. I am hoping to have a business I can hand off many years down the road.
