Eat the cake and take the trip. Why wait? Tomorrow is never promised.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
I enjoy off-course obstacle runs (OCRs), namely Spartans, and CrossFit competitions. In the 2017 year I participated in a total of 12 races or competitions
What do you know now that you wish you had known earlier in your career?
Stop chasing titles and salary. Find the right company and find a role where you can excel.
How do you ensure a balance between work and your personal life?
I have become really great at blurring the lines between work and personal life. If I have a work trip I am notorious for extending the stay and finding a local race. If the schedule allows my family or friends join me on the adventure. I have to admit my secret to success is an insanely supportive husband, incredible family support system, and a tribe of wonderful friends who love my children and step in to help.
If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support?
I love the idea of funding micro businesses and the business side of me recognizes the potential residual benefits. My heart leans towards funding causes that would support families impacted by loss due to breast cancer. The transition back to work and life for a widowed parent has to be an incredible struggle. I would like to see support programs in place that help offset the cost of childcare and programming that helps the surviving parent tackle the daily routine of car pooling, afternoon activities and any other daily life.Â
What is the biggest issue facing the Corridor?
The Corridor needs to be considered a “destination spot” for family and friends.
